Four Engineers Arrested in Jimma for Fraud

Jimma City Government has announced that four municipal employees have been arrested for fraudulently issuing fake land titles.

Individuals are Ahmed Yassin, Ibrahim Tabo, Isaac Sultan and Municipal Engineers of Jimma. Jimma City Woreda Two Corruption and Public Injury Investigator, Chief Inspector General of Investigation, told Bisrat Radio that he had been charged with fraud and conspiracy to defraud the land.

The first defendant, Ahmed Yassin, was sentenced to two years and nine months in prison and fined 4,000 birr, while the second defendant, Ibrahim Yassin, was sentenced to two years and three months in prison and fined 3,000 birr.

The third defendant, Munich Zinabu, was sentenced to two years, three months and four thousand birr, and the fourth defendant, Yisak Sultan, was sentenced to three years in prison.
