Sheger Bread Factory said it has increased its daily bread production to 1.5 million.

Addis Ababa City Administration Deputy Mayor Adanech Abebe visited Sheger Bread Factory today.

During the visit, the Deputy Mayor said the increase in factory production will help alleviate the cost of living in the community.

The factory was facing a shortage of raw materials, and it is said that improvements will be made to the wheat supply to solve the problem.

According to Adanech Abebe, the city administration will supply 100,000 quintals of wheat per month.

Jamal Ahmed, CEO of MIDROC Investment Group, said the support provided by the Addis Ababa City Administration to the factory is commendable.

The factory used to produce 900,000 loaves of bread a day.
