On the occasion of Women’s Day, the Dire Dawa Administration Bureau of Women and Children’s Affairs provided clothing and hygiene to members of the Defense Forces.

Members of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (FDRE) who were injured in a law enforcement operation in the northern part of the country are being treated at the East Command Level 3 Hospital in Dire Dawa. On March 8, the Bureau of Women and Children’s Affairs provided uniforms and hygiene supplies to medical personnel on the occasion of Women’s Day.
Speaking at the event, Dire Dawa Administration Women and Children’s Affairs Bureau Head, Rima Ali, said this year’s Women’s Day is not only about women’s participation in politics, but also about encouraging women who have reached the highest levels of economic empowerment. According to Rima, support has also been provided to members of the Defense Forces on the occasion of Women’s Day.

The Speaker of the Dire Dawa Administration Council, Ms. Fatum Mustafa, said the support will be provided not only by the office but also by the administration.
Lt. Col. Italem Mukaraba, Head of Women’s Affairs at East Command 3 Hospital, thanked the members of the army who were injured in the operation on the occasion of Women’s Day and thanked them for their support.
