Ethiopians donated half million birr to help children

Half a million birr has been donated to help children with heart disease in Ethiopia through a social networking site

Half a million birr has been donated to the Ethiopian Heart and Children Fund for Heart Relief by a fundraiser on social media under the motto of the right path.

The support was raised by American-based journalist Hiwot Tadesse, along with other volunteers from abroad.

Through his representative, he provided assistance to children with heart disease in Ethiopia.

Dr. Ezer Haile, Outpatient Coordinator at the Heart Center, said the support is a demonstration of how to do good deeds using social networking sites.

He thanked them for their support and called on them to continue their support.

For her part, Mebrate said that the support being provided to Ethiopia is encouraging, but that more support should be provided.
