Hana and Neba son baptism programme was held at local church in Addis Ababa.

According to the Ministry of Industry, it is planned to earn 498 million USD from proxy products in the last 10 months of the current budget year.

We will accelerate the prosperity of our country by focusing on substitute products! Under the motto, the ministry and its affiliated institutions are evaluating the performance of the 10 months plan for the fiscal year 2014.

The Minister of Industry, Melaku Alebel, on his part said the plan was to earn 498 million USD from proxy products in the first 10 months of the current budget year, achieving 84 percent of the plan.

He said the performance was 102 million USD or 32 percent more than the same period last year.

He said the Food and Beverage and Pharmaceutical Industry Development Center will play a major role in the success of the plan.
He recalled that the Ethiopian Miracle Movement, which aims to increase the country’s economic contribution to the sector by understanding and solving the problems of producers and providing close support and monitoring, was officially launched by the Prime Minister.

He said the movement is being carried out by top government structures in all regions and city administrations, adding that the movement will help solve the sector’s problems and bring about significant change.
Finally, Melaku urged all stakeholders to contribute their share in addressing the sector’s problems and making it the basis of the country’s economy.
