The children were taken to Israel in collaboration with the Ethiopian Embassy Save the Children Hart.
Israeli Ambassador to Ethiopia Alemgn Admasu escorted the children to Bole International Airport for medical treatment.
At the same time, the ambassador said that the embassy had issued visas to 16 children, but 11 of them were heading to Israel today.
He further added that the remaining children will be able to travel to Israel.
He said the Israeli government is working to provide Ethiopian professionals with the necessary knowledge in the field, in addition to treating children with heart disease.
