Jantar Abay has been appointed Deputy Mayor of Addis Ababa City Administration. Former Hawassa Mayor Tiratu Beyene They continue in office as former city manager.

For the past one year, Jantar has been working as a coordinator of service providers in the Addis Ababa administration. In addition to his position as Deputy Mayor, he has been appointed by the Addis Ababa Bureau of Enterprise and Industrial Development.

According to the newly formed cabinet structure of the Addis Ababa City Administration today; Four officials, including Tiratu, have been promoted to deputy mayor. Former Minister of State for Finance, Yasmin Wehaberebi, has been appointed Deputy Mayor and Head of the Housing Development and Administration Bureau.

Hikma Keiredin, another deputy mayor, has been appointed head of the Public Service and Human Resource Development Bureau. Nejiba Akmel, who is in charge of the Addis Ababa Finance Bureau, has also been promoted to deputy mayor.

Candidates nominated by Mayor Adanech Abebe were approved with 125 votes in favor and two abstentions.
