“Teachers must continue their efforts to create a patriotic and constructive generation”: Mayor Adanech Abebe

The 28th Addis Ababa City Education Conference, which was held under the theme “New Hope for Education, Effectiveness and Prosperity”, has concluded.

Addis Ababa Mayor Adanech Abebe delivers a message at the end of the conference. He said the teaching and learning process has been peaceful and successful in the past year despite many pressures.

He said the role of education stakeholders at all levels, including teachers, is crucial for the success of the 2014 academic year.

The mayor said the new curriculum will be piloted in selected schools this academic year.

On the same day, schools were recognized, including those who excelled in the 2013 academic year, and an incentive award was given to students who excelled in the 8th grade regional exam.
