On the occasion, Deputy Mayor, Adanech Abebe, in Gulele sub-city, handed over the renovated houses to the needy residents.

According to Deputy Mayor Adanech Abebe, 1,845 houses have been renovated and handed over quickly.

He hailed the new year as a new reflection of Ethiopia’s victory and said that we should all be able to celebrate the festival by practicing the virtues within us through the culture of helping and supporting Ethiopia.

The renovation of this house and the provision of basic furniture by the elders; “I have a strong sense of belonging,” said Adanech.

On the same day, federal and Addis Ababa police officers in the sub-city donated oxen for the holiday and 6,500 residents of the sub-city donated various food items to the needy.

Gulele Sub-City Chief Executive Officer, Abawai Yohannes, on the occasion said the company is carrying out renovations and food sharing for 300 elderly people in all 10 woredas of the sub-city.

President Sahle Wark Zewde presents New Year’s Eve to the needy.

The President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, Sahle Work Zewde, presented a gift to the needy residents of Arada Sub-City on the occasion of the Good Day being celebrated by the Addis Ababa City Administration.

Speaking on the occasion, President Sahle Work Zewde said all of us should help each other and support our people.
