Addis Ababa City Trade Bureau announced that action will be taken against those who cause unreasonable price increases and disruptions in cement prices.

The bureau held discussions with cement distributors in the city on current cement prices and distribution.

Addis Ababa City Trade Bureau Head, Abdulfatah Youssef, said more than 50 cement distributors in the city have been identified.

He added that the distributors will be deployed in each sub-city to connect with cement retailers.

According to information obtained from the Addis Ababa City Press Secretariat, the office has set up various procedures and controls to stabilize cement prices and regulate the distribution.
