The official discussed the airspace allocation with the National Electoral Board

Following the completion of the registration of candidates, the National Electoral Board and the Ethiopian Broadcasting Authority discussed the airtime allocation process for political parties.

During the discussion, the Authority presented to the Board the basic automation works carried out for the airtime and newspaper column allocation as well as the remaining procedures.

The Chairperson of the National Electoral Board of Ethiopia, Ms. Birtukan Mideksa, said she has reviewed the lottery software for the Airtime and Newspaper column allocation.

According to the Authority, the Authority will complete the work in a short period of time as soon as the basic inputs for the newspaper column and airtime are provided.

The draw will be held in the presence of the Board’s leadership, political parties, the media and other stakeholders, the official said.
