The Southern Nations, Nationalities and People’s Region (SNNPR) Education Bureau announced today the results of the 2012 Grade 8 Regional Examination.
Of the 352,806 students enrolled in Sidama and SNNPR, 322,136 have passed the 9th grade, which is 91.3%, the bureau said.
During the debugging, it was mentioned that there were problems with incorrect blacklisting, name error and identification code error.
This problem was solved by talking to DRS, a software company in the UK, and students, teachers and supervisors should pay attention to prevent this problem from happening again.

Dr. Andualem Admase, Director General of the Higher Education Relevance and Quality Agency, said that the quality of education provided by higher education institutions has reached a critical level.
Dr. Andualem made the remarks during a discussion with the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and the Higher Education Relevance and Quality Agency on private higher education institutions today.

Dr. Andualem said that it is clear that there are those who attend education without meeting the “cut-off point” and that they will teach without being recognized and will enroll more than the approved number of students.
Dr. Andualem said the institutions should be free from illegal activities and get on the right track.
He said a system will be set up to evaluate the quality of the accredited institutions.
According to the Higher Education Relevance and Quality Agency, the number of private higher education institutions has reached 278, according to the Ethiopian News Agency.
