Akaki-Kaliti sub-city has launched 57 million birr projects that will alleviate the living conditions of the low-income residents.

Akaki-Kaliti sub-city has unveiled projects that will be completed within a month to alleviate the pressure on citizens who are struggling to make ends meet.

The plans to rebuild the houses of the underprivileged, including the bakery centers, will be built with 57.1 million birr raised by investors in the sub-city.

The three bakeries will be able to produce 25,000 loaves of bread a day.

In addition, the Sheger Bread Factory will supply an additional 30,000 loaves to the sub-city as per the agreement signed by the investors.

It will cost 2.8 million birr to build houses for the weak.

The sub-city chief executive, Habiba Siraj, has signed a memorandum of understanding with the developers, which is expected to be completed within a month.
