Land tenure verification map has been prepared for 430 federal government properties in the capital.

The Federal Land Bank and Development Corporation announced that it has prepared a map identification map for 430 of the federal government land holdings in Addis Ababa.

He pointed out that a cadastral system has been implemented to capture holdings with modern technology management.

He said 430 out of the federal government lands in the capital have been prepared for land tenure maps.

He said work is underway to prepare a verification map for more than 400 properties by the end of the budget year.

He said the process is being coordinated with the Addis Ababa City Administration and the GeoSocial Institute.

He also said that the holdings of land titles have been prepared from 70 square meters to 500 square meters.

He also said that the federal government is collecting information on land holdings outside Addis Ababa.

For example, he said the process of clearing and measuring properties in Jijiga, Harar and Dire Dawa is underway.

He said work is underway to use the properties for development after they are registered and certified.

He said discussions are underway with six developers who have submitted development documents.

He said no plans have been made for direct development, but plans are afoot to expand them into education, health, housing, services and ICT sectors.

The federal government owns more than 3,700 hectares of land in Addis Ababa.
