Ethiopia’s first digital school graduates

Ethiopia earned 59.43 million USD from meat exports in the last six months
The Ethiopian Meat and Dairy Industry Development Institute (ETIDI) said it has recorded the highest performance in Ethiopia’s meat export history in the last six months of the 2014 Ethiopian budget year. Debele Lema, director of communications at the institute, told Bisrat Radio that the revenue has increased by 102.99 percent compared to the same period last year.
According to Debele, Director General of Communication, Ethiopia earned 29.28 million USD from the sector in the first six months of 2013. According to Debele, the revenue generated from sheep and goat meat has contributed to better performance.
Over the past six months, 8880.5 tons of goats and sheep have been exported and earned $ 50.3 million. It was also mentioned that the control of livestock along the border will contribute to better performance.
Ethiopia exports 95% of its meat to the Middle East, with Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates leading the way.
