Abune Sawiros, Bishop of the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church in Dallas, Texas, USA, and Abune Sawiros, a member of the Ethiopian Federal Police Hospital, shared a meal with senior members of the Ethiopian Federal Police Hospital.
In his inaugural address, Abune Sawiros said, “In addition to our moral support abroad, we are happy to be able to come to our country and reassure our victims.”
“We have been supporting the affected areas by coordinating Ethiopians and Ethiopians of Ethiopian descent by visiting the affected areas in Afar, North Shoa, Kobo and other fronts,” he said.
He said the security forces have worked hard to fulfill their responsibilities to the people and save the country.
Dr. Dereje Tekalign, Assistant Commissioner of the Ethiopian Federal Police Health Service, on his part said the hospital is a state-of-the-art facility that provides services to more than 2 million customers.
Finally, the Diaspora members who organized the food sharing program have great respect for the members of the armed forces who are dying for the sake of the country’s survival and are ready to support the establishment of a Go-Fund account in the future.
