Cooking “Stove” that reduces cooking time is being produced

Addis Ababa: July 20, 2014 (FBC) A new technology company backed by the Ministry of Innovation and Technology is producing a stove that will reduce the ripening time from 6 hours to 1 hour.

The company is producing and using stoves that can make energy from coffee sludge and straw, khat gereba, sagatura and so on.

The ovens are said to be environmentally friendly and reduce consumption, ÷ The company is said to be able to produce up to 200 stoves a day called “Quitoon”.

The company is the only one in sub-Saharan Africa to produce stove design, fabrication and combustion products.

The fuel is then converted to charcoal, which is said to be used by the company to re-purchase the charcoal from the customer.

State Minister for Innovation and Technology Ahmedin Mohammed said his institution is awaiting the approval of the Proclamation on Novice Technology Enterprises.

Ethiopians in Doha buy bonds for Renaissance Dam

Addis Ababa: July 20, 2014 (FBC) Ethiopians living in Doha and the Ethiopian Diaspora have purchased 25,000 US bonds for the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam.

The Ethiopian Community Association has purchased a $ 15,000 bond this week.

FDRE Special Envoy and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Samia Zekarya handed over the bond certificates to the buyers and said the continued support of the people at this crucial time is commendable.

According to information received from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the ambassador called on others to support this exemplary work.

The embassy thanked the citizens who participated in the bond purchase and other support, members of the Renaissance Dam Public Diplomacy Team and Diaspora organizations.
