In the last nine months alone, the Addis Ababa City Roads Authority has undertaken various repairs covering 441 km.
The Addis Ababa City Roads Authority is undertaking new road construction and multi-purpose road maintenance works to meet the community’s road development needs.
Thus, in the first nine months of the current budget year, it has planned to carry out 476 km of road maintenance works and has completed 441 km of road maintenance.
As a result, it has repaired 75 km of asphalt road and 24 km of gravel road in nine months, cleaned and repaired 327 km of drainage line, repaired 11 km of sidewalks and curved stone, and repaired 16 bridges.
In an effort to replace damaged manhole covers for various reasons, more than 3,000 manhole covers were replaced, and 4 km of cobblestone repairs were carried out.
The Addis Ababa City Roads Authority will continue to strengthen road repairs in various parts of the city in the coming months to cover areas in need of repair before the onset of the winter months.
