Wubit Amensisa – The Most Beautiful Ethiopian Women

Wubit Amensisa is an ambassador of beauty for Ethiopia. She was born on October 5, 1946, in Wolega Nekemt, to her father, Amanitisa Edesa, and her mother, Alemitu Urgi. 500 photographs were taken in 1976 E.C, five of which were selected and the entire proceeds were donated to the Ethiopian Tourism Commission.

Wubit was fluent in Amharic, Oromo, English and French. She has worked for UNDP as a secretary, as a secretary for the Ministry of Culture, as a secretary for the Ethiopian Hotel Tourism Commission, as an assistant manager at Almesh Private Company, and finally as the Deputy General Manager at Elfora Agro Industry.

She has four children with her husband, Captain Birru, and is now in the United States. She died of leukemia in 1994.

Many mistakenly call her Almaz Amansisa. It is a mistake. Her name is Wubit Amensisa.
