Addis Ababa, Ethiopia’s ambassador to Qatar, Faisal Ali, said that the media of our country should work to enable them to gain the experience of foreign media in order to be accessible and competitive.
The ambassador said this when Fana Broadcasting corporate leaders visited the Ethiopian Embassy in Doha, Qatar.
Ambassador Faisal, who mentioned the importance of media work to promote Ethiopia’s image and support diplomatic work, said that Fana is fulfilling its duty in this regard.
The media has an important role in promoting Ethiopia’s investment options and tourism destinations, the ambassador said.
They appreciated the role that Fana is playing in helping our country’s change journey and helping friendly countries through contracts.
In order to strengthen the relationship between the government and the people, the role of the media is high, so Fana should expand its public diplomacy work in collaboration with the local and international media.
He said that it is important to gather experience from institutions like Al Jazeera in order to work for national excellence and win more.
Fana Broadcasting Corporate CEO Ato Admasu Damtyu said during the visit that he will work with special attention to convey the good image of our country to the international community.
He also announced that he will pay attention to information that can build the good image of Ethiopia in all forums, not only in the country but also in the world.
He also mentioned that it is of great importance in terms of providing access to information that serves the interests of the country and the people.
