A reception was held for taxpayers who transferred to the branch office based on the new tax payers’ segmentation.
Ms. Workalem Teshome, Office Manager, welcomed the taxpayers who transferred to the branch office on behalf of the branch management and all employees. She also stated that whenever you need any information, support or guidance, the leaders and employees at all levels are ready to serve you with humility and professionalism and will always be by your side. We believe that your cooperation has a great contribution to the development and progress of our country, and we emphasize that we should declare and pay our taxes responsibly and honestly.
The manager presented the services provided by the branch office based on the establishment of the branch office.
In this regard, Ms. Yeshiwork Eke, Education and Information Provision Work Process Coordinator, provided an awareness training on the nature and importance of tax morality; stating that they will receive education and information from the unit for any gaps they encounter in the tax process, she called on them to register for the modular training and guide their tax process with knowledge. Mr. Wubbu Fentaw, Senior Tax Education Specialist, provided an understanding of the main changes in the new Federal Income Tax Proclamation No. 1395/2017.
Based on the training manual provided, a discussion was held on what the taxpayer should expect in the future relationship with the branch office.
The deputy sector managers and relevant departments responded to the suggestions and comments presented in the discussion.
