The African Development Bank (AfDB) has provided $ 31.02 million (or about 1.3 billion birr) to Ethiopia to end child abortion.
The agreement was signed by State Minister of Finance, Yasmin Wahabrebi, and the African Development Bank’s Deputy Director General for East Africa, Dr. Abdul Kamara.
The grant is aimed at helping the Ethiopian government achieve sustainable development to end malnutrition.
The money will also be spent on food-focused projects, including infrastructure that will help implement food programs in various parts of the country.
He said the Bank would strengthen its support to the Ethiopian government’s efforts to curb malnutrition among children.
State Minister of Finance, Yasmin Wehaberebi, thanked the African Development Bank for its unwavering support to Ethiopia in all fields.
At present, the proposed reforms are not recommended in terms of cost, time and other factors, the board said. Therefore, the Board requested all stakeholders to strengthen their participation in the election process by strengthening the reforms that have been carried out so far.
