Addis Ababa is one of the 21 best places to visit in the world by 2021, according to the popular American travel magazine Conde Nast Traveler.
“The city is becoming a household name,” says the magazine.
The New York-based travel magazine reports that Europe will have 21 best places to visit next year.
The magazine recalled that during the European year of the Cov-19 epidemic, people were unable to move freely.
He said that even though people do not travel during the year, their interest and desire to travel has not been curtailed and the new year, which is less than a month old, will be a return trip.
“Ethiopia’s name and reputation have been on the rise in recent years,” the magazine said. He said the electronic visa service, which was launched in late 2017, has eased the process of visiting the country and boosted the tourism sector by 48.6 percent.
The magazine noted that Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed’s Nobel Peace Prize has attracted international attention.
Visitors are expected to visit Ethiopia, which is listed by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as one of the nine World Heritage Sites.
The multi-faceted Unity Park, which opened last year, occupies 16.2 hectares of land in the 19th century.
Visitors are known to be fascinated by the wall art of the park, indigenous plants.
