Athlete Gudaf Tsegai recorded the second fastest time in the one mile race in Poland
Athlete Gudaf Tsegai won the world’s second fastest time in an indoor one-mile race held last night in Toren, Poland.
The athlete completed the distance in 4 minutes, 16 seconds and 16 microseconds, and this time was recorded as the second fastest time in the world after Genzebe Dibaba.
At the same time, Ethiopian athletes finished 1st to 4th in the 3,000 meter women’s race at the Orlen Copernicus Cup in Poland.
Fruityini Hailu came first with a time of 8 minutes, 46 seconds and 92 microseconds, while Engayehu Taye finished second, Lemelem Hailu finished third and Warkwa Gethechu finished fourth.
In the 1,500 meter women’s indoor race held in de Mondeville, France, Ethiopian athletes finished from 1st to 4th, while Ayal Danachew 1st, Tugst City 2nd, Sinbo Alemayehu 3rd and Tugst Girma finished the race 4th.
