Ethio Telecom launches 4G L.T.E .. fast internet service in the Central North Region
The company has today launched a 4G AlTE Advanced, which will enable mobile internet service to be used in Fiche, Debre Berhan, Sululta, Gerbe Guracha, Sendafa, Berhe and areas in the Central North Region.
Ethio Telecom CEO Frehwot Tamiru said the service provides high speed and bandwidth as well as reliable data service.
This will enable customers to digitize their services and increase their productivity, he said.
So far, the telecom has been powered by 4G LTE. Frehiwot Tamiru, CEO of Addis Ababa, said 86 cities in Addis Ababa and 15 regions have benefited from the service.
Ramis Bank announces over 700 million birr paid up capital
Ramis Bank, which is currently under construction, said it has so far collected 724 million birr paid up capital.
The Bank has announced that it is ready to provide effective financial services by combining modern financial thinking with Islamic finance with technology.
Chairman of the Bank’s Organizing Committee, Abdul Jewat Mohammed, said Ramis Bank, which has been in the process of formation for the past two years, has moved into the formation process in line with the deadline set by the National Bank.
Last April, the National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE) set a deadline for bidders to apply for a license with a paid-up capital of 500 million birr.
Ramis Bank has announced that it will hold its inaugural meeting on September 22.
So far, more than 6,000 shareholders have purchased shares, he said.
He said the bank wants to be more involved in the agricultural sector, which has a large investment gap.
