Kotebe Metropolitan University has inaugurated 175.5 million birr academic buildings and various infrastructure projects.
The academic buildings were inaugurated in the presence of Deputy Mayor Adanech Abebe, Addis Ababa City Council Speaker W / ro Zerfeshwal Nikuse, Deputy Mayor and Democracy Building Center Coordinator Melese Alemu, and senior officials of the university and city administration.
Deputy Mayor of Kotebe Metropolitan University, Adanech Abebe, said the university is playing its part in identifying the city’s problems through research.
According to Adanech Abebe, the university will have a lot of infrastructure work to do from the next budget year.
He said the construction of the Kotebe Ararat road project is underway with the help of the Addis Ababa City Roads Authority.
President of Kotebe Metropolitan University, Dr. Berhane Meskel Tena, on his part said the completion of the academic buildings will play an important role in the university’s research activities.
Apart from teaching and learning, the university is also contributing its share by conducting research on the socio-economic issues of the city, especially solving the problems of the society, he said.
Kotebe Metropolitan University has completed a total of 175.5 million birr for its 8-storey building and 3-storey prefabricated building.
