The national “Make a Mask for Us” campaign will begin in schools on January 25


The government has announced that the “Make a Mask for Us” campaign will start in schools on January 25.

The Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Health have issued a statement on the launch of the “Make a Mask for You” movement in all schools.

The Minister of Education, Getahun Mukaraba (Dr.) said the precautionary measures during the opening of the schools have been implemented properly but there have been some negligence recently.

He said the “Make a Mask for You” campaign will be held in all schools from January 25, 2013.

The Minister of Health, Dr. Leah Tadesse, on her part, said that due to the global spread of the epidemic and the emergence of a new cholera virus, special care should be taken.

He said great care must be taken to prevent the epidemic from escalating and reopening schools.

Students at all schools, teachers and staff, are said to walk around their schools with the idea of “make a mask for us to serve”.

According to the Ministry of Education, more than 90 percent of schools nationwide have begun teaching and learning.
