If you start using EthioSat now you will get new Television channels which were not available on Nile Sat such as ebs cinema, ebs musica, sodere TV, JTV, and other channels including those who show football matches.
Also you will get those channels which are already on Nilesat as well as those channels off air on nilesat. Even if you get so many movie and music channels on the new ethiosat you will also lose some common channels such as: Kana TV, Asham Tv, Nahoo and other spritual channels will be not available. That means you will not watch Muslim channels such as Africa tv, Zawya tv, Nesiha tv, Menber tv, and bst tv.
Eotc will also be missing for Orthodox followers.
From protestant you will not get Christian army tv, marciltv, beteltv, araratv and many others.
There fore before yoi move your dish from Nile sat to Ethio sat you must think twice or if you are capable you can buy a new dish for the new Ethiosat satellite. Which will be used alongside the already existing satellite.
If you have HD reciever such as Superstar 2350 you can use ethio sat fully. From my experience you cannot get spritual channels from ethiosat tho some people believe like they can get them.

For News BBC, CNN, Al Jazeera with HD quality.
If you have SD, you can use upto 14 channels on EthioSat but you will not get international channels which broadcast with high definition.
