Addis Ababa, February 10, 2017 (FMC) The Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples Representatives, Lomi Bedo, urged people to respond to questions raised by the community by properly carrying out public representation work.
Members of the House of Peoples Representatives discussed issues that will enable them to continue to work with the people they elected.
Ms. Lomi Bedo noted that the work carried out by the people’s representation work during this period was encouraging and effective.
She also emphasized that it is necessary to work diligently to answer public questions raised by improving procedures.
Minister of State for Public Affairs Tesfaye Beljge (PhD), for his part, pointed out that changes have been registered in all sectors at the national level and said that members of the House should properly fulfill their responsibilities so that institutions can work effectively.
Elected members of the parliament should work together to find answers to development questions by talking and discussing with the segments of society they elected.
They also indicated that the government should be part of the solution by supporting the community in its efforts to bring about a secure and lasting peace.
They noted that the National Consultative Commission will help Ethiopia find a lasting solution and overcome the existing obstacles, and they called on all citizens to do their part to use this opportunity to achieve their goals.
They also said that the government is working diligently to reduce the cost of living by creating job opportunities for citizens and increasing production and productivity to ensure the development benefits of the people, according to the information provided by the parliament.
