Inspirational love story of a young man!

Mr. Binyam Tilahun stands out among the historical figures we have featured so far. To support our rural project, he has generously donated 6,000 square meters of land free of charge. Touched by his humanity and moved by his life story, we invited him to our studio to share his journey with us!

Binyam was born in a rural village called Tulu Amba. At just six months old, his parents entrusted him to a woman to raise him. She cared for him with exceptional love and dedication until he turned 12, when she passed away. After completing the 10th grade, he moved to Addis Ababa with a friend, but life was extremely tough. He ended up living on the streets for 14 days. He then worked at a shoe factory for a year before attempting to start his own shoe business, which unfortunately failed. After that, he took up glass cutting and worked in that field for some time. Later, he ventured into baking *injera* (a traditional Ethiopian flatbread) and, after a year, became skilled at it. However, he eventually returned to glasswork, where he began creating framed images of saints on glass. This work proved successful, and he was able to support himself, marry, and raise three children. Unfortunately, due to the impact of COVID-19, his business suffered significant losses.

After all these trials and experiences, we are now eager to understand why he chose to donate his precious land so selflessly. Let’s watch the video together to find out!
