This morning, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed held a meeting with the youth at the conclusion of the National Youth Forum, which was held under the title ‘The role of the youth of our time’. They also responded to the questions put to them. He pointed out that even though Ethiopia is tired of challenges, it needs to identify and correct the causes of the downward journey, so that it can renew its strength like an eagle and return to its former height. He recalled that the youth contributed to this journey of success by taking up the works done in the past four years in terms of building independent institutions, strengthening democratic institutions, carrying out development activities, and determining administrative regions.

Prime Minister Abiy urged the youth to never allow those who want to darken their hope for tomorrow, to strive for national unity, to prepare to take over the country, to seek the positive instead of being preoccupied with negative things, to seek prosperity, peace and unity. He said that all ongoing development projects are planned for the youth who are the hope of tomorrow.

Prime Minister Abiy stressed that young people need to have a goal to take over the country and said that there is a need to be motivated to lead the country, the continent and the world instead of the neighborhood. He said that they should be a generation of inclusion that surpasses the superiority of ideas. He informed that the development works carried out in the regions will continue to be expanded and that the works to overcome the problem of theft, which is a problem of good governance, have been strengthened.
