Medium to heavy rains in Borena and Konso areas affected by drought using cloud enhancement technology
Drought-affected areas of Borena and Konso received moderate to heavy rainfall due to lack of regular rainfall using cloud enhancement technology.
Cloud enrichment has been underway in the area since last Wednesday.
According to information obtained by Fana Broadcasting Corporation from the National Meteorological Agency, heavy rains fell in northeastern Konso and South Woncho.
Heavy rains fell in Kofele and Shakiso, near Lake Langano and southwest and west of Yabello, and south of Gudah.
Cloud Enrichment Technology not only converts clouds into rain, but also allows rain to fall where it is needed.
According to experts, enriching the cloud requires first making sure that there are enough clouds to thrive in the atmosphere.
