Summer Natural Resource Development and Conservation Work has started in West Welega Zone, West Welega Zone, according to the zonal agriculture and natural resources office.

Office Natural Resources Team Leader, Fikru Berhanu, said the natural resource development and conservation work will be carried out on 300 hectares of land in 20 woredas of the zone.
He said other land and water conservation works will be carried out to protect the soil moisture and the environment, including inland and common terrain.
He also said that 24,785 hectares of damaged land will be protected from human and animal contact.
According to ENA, more than 281,000 farmers will take part in the campaign.
