Some social media outlets are reporting that the price of petrol, which is 34 birr to 71 cents, in the December retail price adjustment of petroleum products is erroneous.
According to the December adjustment, the price of petrol was 31 birr and 74 cents.
On the other hand, let’s look back at the retail price of petroleum products in previous months.
From February 27, 2013 to March 30, 2013 at the retail price (in liters):
• Gasoline 👉 25 Birr 86 cents
• Ethanol blended petrol 👉 25.36 cents
• White diesel 👉 23 Birr 18 cents
• Kerosene 👉 23 Birr 18 cents
• Light black diesel 👉 20 Birr 27 cents
• Heavy black diesel 👉 19 Birr 78 cents
• Fuel costs 👉 38 birr for 60 cents.
From March 26 to April 30, 2013, everything except jet fuel remained intact.
From April 28 to May 28, 2013, everything except the jet fuel remained intact.
From May 28 to June 30, 2013, everything except the price of jet fuel remained intact.
From June 30 to July 30, 2013, everything except jet fuel remained intact.
From August 1 to August 30, 2013, everything except jet fuel remained intact.
From September 1 to September 30, 2014, everything, including the price of jet fuel, remained the same.
From September 30 to October 30, 2014, the price of jet fuel remained the same.
From October 30 to November 30, 2014, everything except the price of jet fuel remained intact.
