Commercial Bank of Ethiopia launches international study.

Addis Ababa: April 26, 2014 (FBC) The Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE) has launched a study to become an international bank with over 700 billion birr in deposits.

The bid was awarded to four international organizations with better experience in the banking industry.

The President of the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia, Abe Sano, said the study will focus on ways to make the bank more competitive in the World Bank.

He said the study will focus on loan lending, savings and payment, technology use, organization and human resource management.

He said the survey will help ensure the financial security of the bank.

The Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE) has assets worth over 935 billion birr.

According to ENA, representatives of the World Bank, Commercial Bank of Ethiopia, board members and invited guests were present at the launch of the study.
