With a focus on digital infrastructure, cybersecurity, AI, and fintech, the strategy aims to position Ethiopia as a regional tech hub. The government has invested heavily in Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and National Communication Platforms, ensuring a secure and resilient digital ecosystem.

Cybersecurity
With security solutions now accounting for 40% of Ethiopia’s IT market revenue, cybersecurity remains a top priority for businesses and government agencies. The Information Network Security Administration (INSA) and the Ethiopian Artificial Intelligence Institute (EAII) have been working on strengthening Ethiopia’s cybersecurity framework, ensuring that businesses and individuals can operate in a secure digital environment.

Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed emphasized Ethiopia’s commitment to digital transformation, stating that ETEX 2025 will position Ethiopia as a leader in Africa’s digital future. Similarly, Dr. Worku Gachena, Director General of EAII, highlighted the expo’s role in showcasing Ethiopia’s strides in AI, cybersecurity, and innovation.
