Afla Fikir Part 181 | School Life

This is one of the most important dramas made recently that could help understand Ethiopia schools life.

The Sea Port and the Ethiopian Reality

Ethiopia has been unjustly deprived of its sea port for more than three decades. This has created undue impacts on trade processes and has prevented it from gaining economic and other benefits, according to experts in the field.

In an interview with ETV, Daniel Zemikael, the Ethiopian representative of the international shipping organization Mirisk and the CEO of Freighters International Private Limited, stated that Ethiopia has suffered greatly due to the loss of its sea port.

Stating that it is clearly proven that Ethiopia has had a port on the Red Sea in history, Daniel explained that the current claim is fair and appropriate.

He also mentioned that the fact that the country has built a high level of infrastructure at the ports of Assab and Mtswa is another evidence that it has a sea port.

He pointed out that Ethiopia had started building oil refineries at its ports, as well as construction of a port maintenance area and container storage.

However, he explained that the issue of Ethiopia losing its seaport in an unfair way has had a significant impact on its economy.

He also said that every Ethiopian should strive until the end to ensure that the seaport issue is returned peacefully.

Ato Daniel, who stated that “most people understand how much landlockedness has harmed our country,” indicated that Ethiopians should repeat the peaceful struggles they have previously waged for their rights and survival in the effort to regain their seaport.
