“The material did not fall on the surface” – Residents
Residents said that a group of objects that were burning in the sky and moving at high speed did not fall on Moyale.
Last night in the sky of the southern parts of our country, different from the usual shooting stars, it was reported that it was moving in a slow aquahan.
Since this morning, Tikvah Ethiopia has checked from Moyale Ethiopia and Gambo areas and found out that the luminous body passed in the same way in the Moyale sky towards Somalia and Eastern Kenya and did not fall in the area.
Our information source in Moyale Gambo said in his words about the matter, “We heard about the recent earthquake in Afar area, so everyone was shocked by this incident. I saw the thing passing in the sky of Moyale.”
He added, “I heard something that said Moyale had fallen, and I called all the way to Marsabeth and Nairobi to check. They told me that it did not reach Nairobi, but the people of Marsabeth told me that they did not see it in the sky and went to Somalia at the border of Kenya called Ujiru.”
Astronomers and space science researchers who commented on the matter said that the same combustible material could be “space debris”.
Although nothing definite has been said by Ethiopian or Kenyan institutions, work is being done to inform and explain the matter in detail through the Ethiopian Space Science Society.
In the middle of last year, it was reported that a ring of hot metal weighing 500 kg fell in a rural village called Mukuku in Kenya.
