Addis Ababa City Administration Delivers Land for Gedeo People’s Cultural Center
Addis Ababa City Administration has handed over a plot of land for the construction of the Gediyo Cultural Center in Addis Ababa to the zonal representatives today through Mayor Adanech Abebe.
The handover ceremony was attended by Addis Ababa City Mayor Adanech Abebe, Deputy Mayor of Addis Ababa City Prosperity Party Office Melese Alemu, Southern Nations, Nationalities and People’s Region (SNNPR) Deputy Chief of Staff, Abebayehu Tadesse.
Speaking on the occasion, Mayor Adanech Abebe said, “Addis Ababa is a city for all of us. She was chosen for our African brothers and sisters, let alone for her children. “In this city, it is our duty and the right of all of us to reflect our culture, our identity, our traditions and our traditions that express our Ethiopian identity.”
“Ethiopia is going to build a cultural center in Addis Ababa,” he said. We cannot call it the center of Ethiopian culture if it does not reflect the uniqueness of its children and its culture, ”said Mayor Adanech.
“Ethiopians have different languages and identities, but they are a strong and united people,” said Mayor Adanech. “
He said the city administration is ready to do whatever is required to complete the construction of the cultural center as soon as possible.
“We would like to take this opportunity to inform you that the city administration will contribute to the global promotion of Gedo Coffee and other local resources,” he said.
