Ambassadors were appointed to 27 individuals, including General Bacha and Engineer Sileshin
The Office of the President of Ethiopia announced that 27 ambassadors have been appointed, including General Bacha Debele, General Hassan Ibrahim and Engineer Sileshi Bekele.
The appointment of Sahle Work Zewde by the President was announced on January 30, 2014.
A press release issued by the office of President Sahle Work Zewde stated that the President has appointed 16 ambassadors and 11 others as ambassadors.
Recently, General Bacha Debele, one of the military officers who was promoted to the rank of General by President Sahle Work Zewde at the suggestion of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, has been appointed Plenipotentiary Ambassador to the Ministry of Defense.
Dr. Sileshi, a former Minister of Water, Irrigation and Energy and currently a senior negotiator and consultant on the cross-border crossing of rivers and the Renaissance Dam, is now a full-fledged ambassador.
In addition, a total of 27 people who have served in various government positions have been appointed ambassadors and ambassadors.
