The Ministry of Planning and Development has held discussions with development partners on the future directions of the ten-year development plan that Ethiopia is implementing.
The online discussion was attended by the Minister of Planning and Development, Dr. Fitsum Assefa (Dr.), the Minister of State for Finance, Sumerita Sewasew, and representatives of various development partners.
Explaining the implementation of the ten-year development plan, Dr. Fitsum Assefa said that the implementation of the first year of the plan has shown better performance despite the economic pressure of the CVD-19 epidemic, to achieve greater results in the export sector, domestic revenue collection and private sector development. He said it was possible.
She said the government is committed to achieving its development goals and objectives in the current context, adding that various development programs planned by the government are being implemented.
He said the 10-year development program will be in line with the government’s ongoing rehabilitation and reconstruction program.
He said the government-led rehabilitation and reconstruction program plan will facilitate the participation of all stakeholders in the short and long term developmental focus areas as well as the rehabilitation program plan.
