The Addis Ababa City Water and Sewerage Authority has signed an agreement with Luxembourg, Maya Corporation, to reduce water loss and improve water supply and distribution.

This agreement, which is part of the second phase of the Urban Water Supply and Sanitation Project, The total cost is 800 million 487 thousand 107 birr and will be completed in four years and two months.

The agreement aims to reduce the loss of water by designing water distribution lines in Yeka Abado, Ka Ayat, Fanuel, Bole Ayat and Bole Arabsa sub-districts of Gurd Shola and Lemi Kura branches.

The agreement is based on a performance-based contract that will repair older water lines, water meters and fittings, update customer information and transfer knowledge in areas with more than 37,500 customers. .
