6,500 Hawassa Industrial Park workers to be housed.

Industrial Parks Development Corporation has signed a contract with Corner Stone Housing Development Group to build housing for factory workers at Hawassa Industrial Park.

The corporation has today signed an agreement to carry out the construction of houses in Hawassa Industrial Park to alleviate the housing problem of factory workers.

The contract was signed by the corporation’s chief executive, Sandokan Debebe, and general manager of Corner Stone Housing Development Group, Sirak Ambaye.

A contract has been signed with Corner Stone Housing Development Group to provide housing for 6,500 factory workers at Hawassa Industrial Park. The project is expected to cover 2.08 hectares.

When completed, the housing project will include staff dining halls, shops, leisure centers, banks, staff training facilities, green space, clinics and offices.

The project, to be built at Hawassa Industrial Park, will include 13 buildings and is expected to be completed in 18 months, Bisrat Radio Industrial Parks Development Corporation has learned.
