Efforts are being made to alleviate the supply problem of oil factories

Minister of Trade and Industry, Melaku Alebel, on his part said efforts are being made to alleviate the shortage of inputs in the country.
The Ministry of Trade and Industry is holding discussions with stakeholders to identify the problems facing the oil industry.
He said there are 26 major, 206 medium oil producing industries in the country, adding that efforts are underway to replace the demand for edible oil at the national level.
One of the ways to do this is to enable the industries to produce at full capacity, he said.
According to the Minister, the growth of the indigenous economy is a priority of the government. In particular, work is underway to completely replace oil and wheat.
It is expected that a study on the major problems of the oil industry will be presented and discussed by the Food, Beverage and Pharmaceutical Industry Development Institute of the Ministry of Trade and Industry.
Owners of oil factories, including Minister of Agriculture Omar Hussein, attended the forum.
