Public Relations Head with the Ministry, Kassa Alamrew, told ETV that states and city administrations have set up a market stabilization task force.
He said the government is taking irreversible action against individuals, producers, distributors and retailers who violate the law.
He further added that any person who has accumulated and concealed the product will be held accountable and the stockpile, concealed and illegally seized will be distributed to the public at reasonable prices and will be submitted to the government.
To improve the supply of cement, intermediate management and professionals are assigned to the factory and supervise the factory’s daily production process and distribution system, he said.
He said work is underway to sell the cement on the basis of transport distance and proximity profit margin.
He said the company is working to improve the market, evaluate the gaps in the market and expand the best practices.
