Ethiopia | I thought I knew the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church. But as I have learned in the past three days, all the people and books that have told me about you have not told me even a fraction of your glory, favor, and fame.
Oh Tewahedo!
I saw your pure tears, deep humility, strong patience, great wisdom, much knowledge, broad understanding, and terrifying majesty and I was amazed, my heart was amazed, I put my hand on my mouth! Seeing the incense of your prayers and intercession fumigate the temple of the Most High God, and bring down His throne, amazes not only me, a weak person, but also the holy angels.
Just as the stone that was not touched by hands fell from heaven and remained standing as a great mountain, not broken, not split, not cut, just as it is written in the book of the prophet Daniel, so you will remain a great mountain on the land of Ethiopia, the pride of Africa, and the glory of the whole world.
How blessed are your beloved children who are taught by God, who are humble and blessed, who are clothed in sackcloth!
