“Smart Industrial Cluster to be built in Addis Ababa”

Addis Ababa City Administration Deputy Mayor and Head of the Bureau of Labor, Employment and Industry Development, Jantar Abay, said in an interview with Addis Lissan Gazeta. The Industrial Cluster or Smart Industrial City project is planned to build an industrial cluster on 93 hectares of land in Akaki sub-city, he said.

He said the project, which is one of the mega projects being constructed by the city administration, is nearing completion.

Reminding that the capital has not yet had its own industrial village and that the existing ones are federally administered, the deputy mayor also said that we did not have our own industrial park built in cluster development and shade.

He said the project, which is being implemented and will be of great benefit to the city, is part of the city’s development plans, which is widely believed to be a transit point for enterprises.

In addition to the mega projects that the city administration has built and is currently under construction through the Office of Large Projects, the institution is also preparing to realize a number of large-scale development projects in the 2015 budget year.
