Due to the fasting month of Ramadan, a food sharing program was held for the vulnerable

Addis Ababa: A food sharing program for the needy was held in Addis Ababa due to the fasting month of Ramadan.

Addis Ababa City Adere Neighborhood Development and Relief Association has provided food sharing to about 600 local families in connection with the fasting month of Ramadan.

The chairman of the association, Nureddin Rashid ገልጸዋል, said the association has provided 780,000 birr in donations from locals and members of the international community.

He said the association has been providing assistance to low-income earners since the outbreak of the CVD 19 epidemic.

Addis Ababa Islamic Affairs Office Secretary General Sheikh Hamid Musa on his part said problems can be solved with the cooperation, tolerance and assistance of any community.

Similarly, the Akaki-Kaliti Sub-City Administration has distributed a food distribution program worth 6,62 million birr to 650 vulnerable people during the holy month of Ramadan.

Addis Ababa City Administration Prosperity Party Office Head, Prosperity Party Executive Member and Chief of Staff, Meles Alem, said the low cost of living for various reasons is a serious problem and the people and the government need to work together to prevent it.

The beneficiaries thanked the sub-city administration for the support and said that our culture of sharing should be further developed.
