In response to the Prime Minister’s recent call, a clean-up campaign was officially launched.
City Administration Manager, Tiratu Beyene, launched the clean-up operation with the residents of Addis Ababa today.
Nifas Silk Lafto Sub-City Chief Executive, Nezahat Daba, Yeka Sub-City Chief Executive, Yitale Dejene and other senior city and sub-city officials attended the clean-up operation with the residents of the area.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Tiratu Beyene called on the city to welcome one million Diaspora members to the country and to remain free during their stay.
He called on the Diaspora to come to Ethiopia to celebrate Christmas and see the current situation in the country.
The sub-city chief executive, Yitayal Dejene, said the clean-up operation will continue until guests enter the capital, Addis Ababa.
The Chief Executive of Nifas Silk Lafto Sub-City, who officially launched the clean-up campaign in Jemo Square, said the purpose of today’s program is to welcome our people to the city and build our country together.
Residents of Megenagna and Jemo Square who participated in the clean-up operation said that they are actively participating in the clean-up operation in the coming days to make our city and our area clean and attractive to foreigners.
