Five new startup technology companies graduated
Addis Ababa: July 30, 2014 (FBC) Orbit Innovation Development Center inaugurated five new technology companies.
It is stated that the companies have technological solutions to the problems in the health, education and service sectors.
Today, five of them are graduates of technology startups.
State Minister for Innovation and Technology, Dr. Ahmedin Mohammed, said the government is creating conditions for novice technology companies to join the market and become internationally competitive.
The state minister said the government is ready to support the newly established technology companies.
State Minister of Health, Alemtsehai Paulos, said work is underway to improve the quality of services by digitizing the health system and the Ministry of Health is working on that.
According to information from the Ministry of Innovation and Technology, Medicaid, Health, Student, Chart and Ner are the first technology companies to graduate today.
Orbit Manager Pazion Chernet said they are working to create capacity for start-up technology companies.
According to the manager, they are providing technical and financial support from ideas to start a company in an effort to solve the problem.
